November 1, 2023 @ 8:30 am - November 9, 2023 @ 5:00 pm GMT

£300.00 – £1068.23

The health and care system is facing profound challenges – severe staff shortages, services struggling to recover from the Covid-19 pandemic, record numbers of people waiting for care, and increasing financial pressures. Public satisfaction with the NHS and social care services is at an all-time low. Bringing together leaders from across the health and care system, The King’s Fund annual conference 2023 will examine current and future challenges for the health and care system. Through keynote speeches, panel debates and interactive workshops, we will explore how best to ensure the system works for both staff and people who draw on health and care services. Conference sessions will explore what the landscape for integrated care systems looks like post Hewitt review. Leaders from across the system will share their approaches to reducing health inequalities and their priorities for improving people’s access to, and provision of, out-of-hospital care. Sessions will explore how the health and care system can adapt to face future challenges, including an ageing population and more people living with long-term conditions and complex disabilities the challenge of moving to a prevention-first health service realising the potential of innovation to transform patient pathways making health and care careers attractive to the workforce of the future. This year’s event takes place in the context of the build-up to the next general election, and in the year of the 75th anniversaries of the NHS, the National Assistance Act 1948 (which paved the way for the current social care system), and the arrival of HMT Empire Windrush. This two-day flagship event will attract a wide-ranging audience from central and local government, the NHS, private and voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations, and people with lived experience. You are invited to join us to learn, share best practice and collaborate while exploring the wider opportunities and issues facing the health and care system, and how these affect staff, communities, and those who draw on health and care services.
