December 14 @ 9:00 am - 5:15 pm GMT

We are delighted to invite you to the 34th Colloquium on Information Security. This year, the theme will be Risky Thoughts: Navigating the Ethical, Legal and Economic Complexities in Modern Cybersecurity. The event will be held on Thursday 14 December 2023, from 09:00 to 17:15 (registration 09:00-09:30), in the Shilling Building, Royal Holloway, University of London, Egham, Surrey TW20 0EX. The 34th edition of the Colloquium will serve a somewhat different purpose to what has been the norm. We are creating a space for critical thinking and leadership on current and future challenges in modern cybersecurity. We are inviting attendees from across industry, government and academia to play an active role in discussion throughout the day. These discussions aim to critically analyse the state of the cybersecurity practice in the UK (and beyond) while setting out key challenges for the field in the years to come.Centred on the theme of “risky thoughts” in modern cybersecurity we will have a series of exciting talks solicited through a call for presentations/provocations. In particular, three key topics will shape the event: ethical complexities, legal complexities and economic complexities of modern cybersecurity.REGISTER NOW: Registration is free but mandatory – tickets will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Attendance is by invitation only. We hope you will be able to join us and contribute to a hopefully lively discussion and “risky thinking” on the current and future state of modern cybersecurity.Rikke Bjerg Jensen, Information Security GroupThe event is hosted by the Information Security Group at Royal Holloway, University of London, and sponsored by Arco Cyber and Via Resource.
