The Region X Regional Medical Education Conference (RMEC) brings together the Region X community to equip pre-medical and medical students with the skills to become “clinically excellent, culturally competent, and socially conscious physicians.”This year, RMEC will be hosted by the University of Kentucky College of Medicine, and the theme is, “For the People, By the People: Addressing Intersectionality Between Healthcare and Politics.” The conference will highlight the experience and growth of minorities in medicine as professionals and patients. Additionally, the conference will include a dedicated pre-medical symposium with hands-on clinical workshops, an admissions panel, a research symposium, numerous networking opportunities, and much more!For the first time, there will be a formal banquet / closing ceremony on the evening of Saturday, December 9, 2023!
