7th Annual Geotechnical Engineering Research Symposium
November 17 @ 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm PSTFree – $60.00
The 7th Annual Geotechnical Engineering Research Symposium, hosted by the GeoSystems Group at the University of California, Berkeley, will be held on Friday, November 17, 2023, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Banatao Auditorium in Sutardja Dai Hall. This event will showcase the cutting-edge research conducted by current Ph.D. students and Research Associates in the GeoSystems Group.
The symposium will feature inspiring keynote presentations and poster sessions highlighting a wide range of geotechnical engineering topics, including:
Seismic site response and liquefaction
Landslides and slope stability
Geomechanics of soils and rocks
Geotechnical earthquake engineering
Infrastructure foundation engineering
This symposium provides an excellent opportunity for researchers, engineers, and industry professionals to stay up-to-date on the latest advances in geotechnical engineering. It also serves as a forum for fostering collaboration and exchanging ideas among researchers from academia and industry.
The symposium will feature two keynote presentations from renowned experts in the field of geotechnical engineering:
Dr. Jonathan Godt, University of Utah
Dr. Jean-Pierre Latham, University of Cambridge
The poster session will provide a platform for Ph.D. students and Research Associates to present their research findings to a broad audience. This session will showcase the diverse range of research projects being conducted within the GeoSystems Group.
