    Event Description


    Bronx Community College is part of the multi-campus CREST Institute based at City College funded by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). As part of the CREST Institute BCC students have a chance to transfer to City College to study to be involved in one of several career paths in science and engineering. At NOAA-CREST Day Bronx CC students will have a chance to participate in fun filled activities, interact with professionals in the field and the NOAA Administrator at the conference and have a chance to learn about internships and scholarships. BCC students have been awarded as much as $8,000 in stipends while still enrolled at BCC. Higher stipends are available when students transfer to City College and enter into a NOAA focused academic career path. Breakfast and lunch will be provided and a bus will take students to and from the conference. The bus leaves the BCC campus at 10:15 am sharp and returns to the campus at 2:30 pm.
