Request press pass here – A food entrepreneur looking to network and discover opportunities – A consumer interested in keeping up with food industry trends Confirmed Speakers (More speakers to be announced): Molly Hemmeter – President & CEO, Landec Corporation Molly Hemmeter serves as President and CEO of Landec Corporation, a diversified health and wellness company with two operating businesses: Lifecore Biomedical, a contract development and manufacturing company (CDMO), and Curation Foods, a branded natural foods company focused on innovating plant-based foods with 100% clean ingredients. Molly earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Chemical Engineering from the University of Louisville and Master’s degree in Business Administration from Harvard University. She began her career as a process engineer in the pharmaceutical industry and, after receiving her MBA, made a dramatic career change to consumer brand marketing before beginning two software start-ups. Each of these experiences provided the opportunity to create disruptive business models and new products to gain competitive advantage. Since joining Landec in 2009, she has transformed the organization through business model re-design to drive long-term growth. Molly has a personal passion for plant-based foods, increasing access of 100% clean, fresh foods to as many people as possible and sustainable business practices that respect people, preserve our planet and expand opportunities for women.  Bowie Cheung – Director of Operations, US & Canada , UberEats Bowie Cheung is the Director of Operations for Uber Eats in US & Canada, where Uber partners with over 70,000 restaurants. He is focused on leveraging Uber’s extensive logistics network to make eating well effortless for everyone, while helping restaurateurs and delivery partners grow their businesses. Prior to joining Uber, Bowie was a management consultant at Bain & Company, covering clients in technology and financial services. He earned his MBA at Northwestern University, and engineering degree at the University of Toronto. His first job was cooking burgers at a local restaurant in Toronto, Ontario. Leslie Kipps – Senior Vice President, Product & Design, Food Network Liesel Kipp is SVP, Product & Design for Discovery Digital Studios, a newly expanded hub for digital and social video content creation, where she uses her nearly 20 years of digital product experience to lead product teams across a variety of categories and platforms including web, mobile, social and emerging platforms for a number of lifestyle brands including Food Network, HGTV, Travel Channel, Genius Kitchen and DIY Network. Prior to her current role, Kipp served as VP, Product & Design of Scripps Networks, where she led the evolution of the company’s digital portfolio, including the launch of connected TV apps across Roku, Apple TV and Amazon Fire TV, an overhaul of digital publishing platforms, the extension of Food Network brand in emerging innovation platforms (Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant & Facebook Messenger) and the continued evolution of Food Network’s In The Kitchen app, placing it among the top recipe apps in Apple’s App Store. Kipp joined Scripps Networks in 2013 from KPMG, where she was in charge of its digital content strategy. Before KPMG, Kipp launched and served as General Manager of Marketwatch.com and SmartMoney.com for the Wall Street Journal Digital Network. She also led the creation of WSJ Select, an early player in the content and commerce space that featured gift guides and merchandise curated for the Wall Street Journal consumer. Previously, Kipp led product management globally at Thomson Reuters as Vice President, where she managed the product, design and design technology teams for Reuters Consumer Media. Kipp holds a bachelor’s degree from State University of New York College at Oswego. In 2017 she was selected as an honoree for Cynopsis Media’s Top Women in Digital Awards. In her spare time she can be found gardening or cooking for fun with her family. Julie Lerner – Investor, 37 Angels Julie Lerner is an Angel Investor with 37 Angels, specializing in the food and beverage sector.  37 Angels is a group of 80 female Angel Investors  that invests in about 10-12 high potential male and female-led early stage startups each year, filtered from 2000. As Founder of the blog, The Failure Report, Julie interviews successful entrepreneurs and investors about what NOT to do to be successful. The goal of the blog is to provide actionable tips on how to avoid missteps for Founders. Julie is a graduate of Northwestern University, The French Culinary Institute, and Kedge Business School in France.  She had a successful career in sales/business development for radio stations in Baltimore, Philadelphia, and New York and later for the New York State Restaurant Association and wine companies. She co-authored the book Lerner’s Consumer Guide to Health Care, for which she was featured in The New York Times business section as well as a five-part series on NBC’s Today Show with Katie Couric. She founded WineTwoThree, a wine newsletter targeting millennial women, and EatDrinkJobs, an employment platform for the hospitality industry.
