    It’s AIF NYYP’s biggest event of the year. Join us for our 12th Annual AIF New York Young Professionals Gala on Saturday, April 20th at the prestigious Broad Street Ballroom in New York City! The event will include 4 hours of open bar and catered Indian cuisine, a live auction, and special presentations throughout the night. It’s going to be an evening you won’t want to miss!

    ABOUT OUR GUEST SPEAKER RITU BANGA


    Ritu is the co-founder of Zoomdojo, a college to career initiative. She is a seasoned professional with deep multi-sector experience having worked for many years in India in Strategic Consulting and in Advertising and Market Research across many industry areas, advising large corporations, multi-lateral agencies and non-profits. Over the past two decades, Ritu has been committed to empowering youth, women, and under-represented minorities through education and their successful participation in the workforce, work that she continues to do through Zoomdojo. 


    She is a trustee of Marymount School, New York; serves on the Advisory Board of SAYA; and is advisor to Virtual Enterprises International, a Dept. of Education affiliated non-profit, and to the South Asia Business Association, Columbia University. She is also a consultant to the City University of New York for their Continuing Education and Workforce Development initiative, focusing on the Business and Finance sectors.


    Ritu has been a guest speaker at Cornell University in the “Women, Leadership and Entrepreneurship” seminar. She has also been a speaker at conferences and seminars at Columbia University, the Indian Institute of Management – Ahmedabad, NYU, Pace University, Tsinghua University, Vanderbilt University, and at the Univ. of Toronto.


    With her co-founder at Zoomdojo, Ritu has started a seed and early stage investment fund, MadFifth, which supports entrepreneurs bringing unique solutions to unaddressed needs, with proven go-to-market strategies. She has been advisor and/or judge at pitch competitions at Venture for America, VEI, and at the IIMA accelerator.


    Ritu’s past affiliations include: Advisory Committee, American Institute of Architects New York; trustee, International School of Brussels; President, Joint Schools Association, New York; and board member; Asian University for Women Support Foundation. Ritu is a graduate of Delhi University and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.
